How to disable AirDrop

Open Finder, click AirDrop in the sidebar.
Under Allow me to be discovered by select Contacts Only or No One. You can also set this in System Settings under General and AirDrop & Handoff
You can find AirDrop shortcut in your macOS Notification Center shortcuts.
If you're turning it on and off regularly, add it as a fixed shortcut into your menu bar by configuring it in the Dock & Menu Bar in System Settings.
