Remote Login allows control of your computer from other devices. This should only be allowed in rare cases and disabled once finished.

Why you should turn off Remote Login

Generally speaking Remote Login is pretty secure. But security is best done in layers, because, from time to time, even Remote Login might have security vulnerabilities. So it's best to keep it turned off when you're not using it.

How to disable Remote Login (SSH) on Windows

Open the Settings app and navigate to Apps.
Click on Optional Features under the Apps & Features section.
Scroll down and look for OpenSSH Server in the list of installed features.

If OpenSSH Server is installed, click on it and select Uninstall.
Alternatively, you can disable the SSH service by opening Services (search for "Services" in the Start menu), finding OpenSSH SSH Server, right-clicking it, and selecting Stop.
