As we kick off 2025, we’re excited to share how Pareto Security is evolving. What started in 2021 as a simple macOS security app has grown into something bigger.
Shifting Focus to Compliance
One of our highlights last year was welcoming Brave browser as one of our enterprise customers looking for device compliance solution. This reinforced what we had already started to notice – many businesses rely on Pareto for compliance, not just security.
There’s a gap in the market for a device-focused compliance solution. Right now, there are big (and expensive) platforms like Vanta and Drata that handle full compliance workflows. There are also cloud-focused tools like Waffle and Kloudle. But when it comes to just device compliance that is not also a full-blown invasive MDM? There’s not much out there.
What’s Coming in 2025
We’re making some moves this year to help businesses stay compliant without the headaches. Here’s what’s on the way:
1. Linux and Windows Support
Until now, Pareto has only been for Mac users. That’s changing – we’re launching Linux and Windows apps so companies can add all of their computers into Pareto and monitor them from one dashboard.
2. A Better Dashboard for Device Monitoring
We’re also redesigning our dashboard to give users a clearer picture of their device compliance. The new version will include:
- Historical views to track security updates over time.
- Company-wide trends so IT and security teams can quickly spot and fix compliance gaps.
3. Easy Reports & Compliance Checks
Staying compliant shouldn’t be complicated. We’re making it simple to generate reports and set up device compliance checks for frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and Cyber Essentials (UK).
4. New Plans & Pricing
We want to make security and compliance accessible to everyone, so we’re making big changes to our plans:
- Personal version is now free – because security should be available to everyone.
- New Family Plan – Covers up to 5 devices and includes dashboard access.
- Small Business Plan – Keeps notifications and essential compliance tools.
- New Business Plan for Device Compliance – Includes reports, workspaces, and advanced compliance features.
Looking Ahead
2025 is going to be a big year for Pareto Security. With our expanded focus on compliance, support for more operating systems, and better monitoring tools, we’re making device security and compliance simpler and more effective.
