What a day! I’m still buzzing from the thrill of attending and participating at the BSides Ljubljana conference. It’s been a fantastic experience to be a part of such an energizing in-person event.
As soon as we arrived, I could feel the excitement in the air. The thrill of meeting real people, having real conversations about something we are all passionate about was amazing. I’ll admit, I was a little overwhelmed at first, but the friendly atmosphere quickly put me at ease.
The organizers managed to gather an impressive lineup of international speakers, a testament to the strength and diversity of the cybersecurity community. There were around 100 security enthusiasts, some local, some from other parts of the EU, and some even from places farther afield. It was the perfect size for a conference – large enough to have a broad range of experiences and perspectives, but small enough for meaningful interactions.
Being one of the main sponsors of this community-driven event, Pareto Security was in the spotlight. I had the privilege of giving a lightning talk about our journey from an idea to becoming a sponsor of the event. It was an honor to share our story with such an engaged audience.
As always, the key takeaway for me was the camaraderie and spirit of the community. It’s a pleasure to be a part of a group that is so supportive, enthusiastic, and fun. After all, why spend your time with people who take themselves too seriously?
